It provides an infinite variety of focal lengths spanning the most widely used range for anything from portraits to true telephoto. Combined zoom/focus collar, automatic-reopen diaphragm and coupling for full-aperture exposure metering are added advantages. Closest focusing distance is 1.8 meters.
